Primary school Osnovna škola Tituša Brezovačkog is a public school founded in 1964 in Zagreb.
The school is in the western part of Zagreb, in a growing suburb, and has 1100 students, from 7 to 14 years old, classified into 43 grades. Seventy teachers are working in the school. We have three specialist associates (pedagogue, speech therapists, and psychologists). Students learn English and German languages, and we are recognized as an experienced Erasmus + project school. For over 20 years, our School cooperates with Zagreb University and Croatian Agency for Education. Our school is a practicum for university students of Teacher Academy, Physics, and Pedagogy so teachers implement new pedagogical approaches and creativity in their daily classroom. Our school motto is “School that grows with the students,” Our goal is to have students eager to learn who love to go to school. The school has extensive extra-curricular activities, especially those fostering knowledge of STEM subjects like Astronomy, Robotics, GLOBE, and Abacus. There is a special program for gifted students in the STEM area.
ICS Largo Cocconi educational complex, established in Rome (Centocelle), consists of three schools accommodating 1239 students and employing 159 teachers from the Primary and Secondary school orders. The school has hosted international students from all continents for the last decades. Its staff is very enthusiastic about supporting international projects since they strongly believe that exchange and contamination are opportunities to improve students’ characteristics. Educational curricula are provided with art, music, and drama courses, and for the last 13 years, Educational Robotic courses have been supplied to improve students’ computational thinking. The Headmaster, Wanda Giacomini has been leading the Institute since 2007, managing it with an innovative perspective, conciliating the visions of all the different educational actors, and organizing the teachers’ formation teams.
The school is one of the largest Comprehensive Institutes in the province of Ancona, with around 1,300 students. All kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in Loreto are part of it. One of the main goals is to give relevance to European values in the community and strengthen language learning (English, French, and Spanish) using the most modern methodologies. The school has recently improved its ICT skills and equipment. In some classes, all students and teachers work with iPads, Apple TV, touch screens, and STEM tools. The Institute has been experiencing a strong push towards innovation (both pedagogical and technological) for the last three years. We have just ended a KA220 partnership about robotics in RoboPisces Project. Teachers and students learnt about new programming systems, and pupils experienced the use of robot fish with which they could simultaneously reflect on robotics and the environment.
